I always end up buying loads of summer clothes, but then only wearing them for the short amount of time I am on holiday and then the rest of the time I seem to spend in my transitional weather clothes – jeans, shirts, light jumpers with the occasional summery item thrown in.
But August came around this year, and there were surprisingly more sunny days than there were drizzly, so I made the most of it.
I love this shirt dress because it is so effortlessly chic. Dresses in general are like this, but I always seem to spend loads of time trying to accessorise, but with this dress there was no need. There is so much detail in it already, that you can just slip it on grab a pair of summer sandals and you’re good to go.
Every time I wear this dress I have had compliments, which is always great. It is a good length, but I love the sheer detailing with and the visible undercoat, which just make it a bit more youthful. It’s like a midi and a mini combined!
These wrap detail block heel sandals have been one of my summer go to shoes, again, they have enough detail to mean the rest of your outfit can be simple. I had my eye on them for ages – I particularly like the square toe- and then they went on sale and BAM, I had to buy them. They are the easiest heels to walk in, so good for a day to night transition.
