Summer Makeup with Tom Ford Soleil

When I think of summer makeup, Tom Ford is always the first brand that springs to mind, I always think of their Soleil campaign, the beautiful bronzed models with glowing and radiant skin, the perfect amount of highlight, silky smooth lips and always the perfect summer shade on their eyes, it is my absolute summer makeup goals.

So I rushed into John Lewis and picked out a couple of my favourite pieces to try out. I have had my eye (pardon the pun) on the dual tiered eye colour,  I couldn’t decide between the two peachy colours on offer, but eventually settled on the slightly more subtle of the two, Paradiso.

The duo consists of both a cream and powder colour, you apply the cream first followed by the shadow to really give that pop of colour, it is so beautiful I think I will be wearing this well into the winter as well. It lasts all day too, and when I mean all day I am talking from applying it at 11am, completing a day of site seeing and then a night out and eventually getting back home in the early hours of the morning (I tested it out in Stockholm) and I was amazed to see how much was still on.

My second product is the sheer highlighting duo in Reflects Gilt, the top shade is a perfect gold and the bottom shade is a peachy tone, almost matching Paradiso. Both look beautiful when applied to the high points of the face, and again and long lasting, and although it is described as sheer, it is far from it, but in a good way, some highlighters can leave a stripe where applied, this does not, but gives a much more natural application whilst still getting the results you want.
